The Russian Defense Ministry has announced that a Russian military unit specializing in demining, which employs some 150 experts, has arrived in the historic central Syrian city of Palmyra.
The unit will help to clear mines from Palmyra's ancient city, which were put there by members of the Islamic State terror organization.
