A senior official of the French "National Front" right-wing party has been suspended from the party after he was documented saying "I do not think there were many deaths during the Holocaust."

The comments of Benoit Loeuillet, head of the party's branch in Nice, were exposed by documentary makers who followed the events of the party over the past two years. An official statement from the party said that he was summoned to a hearing which will also examine the possibility of removing him from the party.
