Candidate Avi Gabbay has welcomed the decision to set July 3rd as the date for selecting a new chairman of the Labor Party.
The former minister said, ''Shortening the eligibility period will allow thousands of newly-registered members to have influence. This is the first step in making the Labor Party a winning party."
