The official value of the shekel rose an average of .725 percent on Monday against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.679, down .514 percent from Friday, while the Euro declined .615 percent to 3.8942 shekels.
The pound sterling was set at 4.5659 shekels, down 1.542 percent among speculation about a referendum on Scottish independence.
