An electrical short in the lighting of an operating room at Rambam Hospital in Haifa led to the use of fire extinguishers on 3 operating rooms.
Hospital management subsequently decided that the 3 rooms will be closed until an assessment of damages is completed.
As a result, dozens of operations scheduled ahead of time will be delayed.
