The Central Bureau of Statistics announced, Thursday, that about 170,000 people aged 15 or over were unemployed in January, out of a labor force of 3.967 million, making for an unemployment rate of 4.3 percent, unchanged from December.
Among those between 25 and 64, the rate dropped from 3.8 in December to 3.7 in January. The burea noted that "Starting in the beginning of 2016, an average of approximately 20,700 persons aged 15 and over a month have been interviewed on an ongoing basis."
