The Jerusalem District Court is scheduled on Thursday to sentence former Ashkenazic Chief Rabbi of Israel, Yona Metzger on a conviction for accepting bribes totaling about five million shekels.
Metzger was convicted in a plea bargain in which he admitted the offense and is expected to serve three years in prison.
