The city of Ashkelon has reached agreement with the Israel Lands Administration to put 2,500 housing units to market in the first phase of the "Ir Hayayin" (Wine City) project, part of the city's broad urban-renewal program.
The units are also tied to the Finance Ministry's Mechir Lemishtaken program to provide affordable housing for first-time homebuyers.
