The official value of the shekel rose an average of .349 percent on Monday against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The exception was 100 Japanese yen, which rose .033 percent to NIS 3.2992.

The United States dollar was fixed at 3.785 shekels, down .342 percent from Friday's rate, while the Euro dropped .745 percent to NIS 4.0242 and the pound sterling was set at 4.7314 shekels, down .676 percent.
