U.S. Defense Secretary James Mattis on Thursday night spoke with Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman and stressed his "unwavering commitment to Israel's security," the Pentagon said.
According to the statement, Mattis also spoke with Germany's Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen and French Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, and assured them both of "the United States’ enduring commitment to the NATO alliance.”
