Attorneys for soldier Elor Azariya have demanded that a military court at Defense Ministry headquarters in Tel Aviv throw out his manslaughter conviction in the shooting death of a wounded terrorist.
They based the demand on contact with the family by the commander of the Kfir Brigade between the conviction and Tuesday's start of the penalty phase of the trial. They also demanded that the commander be called to testify.
