The Ministry of Health and the management of Clalit health services, in coordination with the Be'er Sheva municipality, have agreed to add 91 beds at Soroka Hospital in order to strengthen the maternity ward, intensive care, children's ward, rehabilitation, oncology and orthopedics.
In addition, according to a government decision, construction of another hospital in the Negev is planned.
