A subcommittee of the Knesset State Control Committee will meet on Tuesday to discuss disclosure of the portion of the state comptroller's report on the Protective Edge counter-terror operation in Gaza in 2014 dealing with the functioning of the diplomatic-security cabinet before and during the fighting.
The report was submitted to the subcommittee on Sunday. Chairwoman Karin Elharrar expressed support for publishing the report, explaining, "We have a commitment to the residents of Israel and the bereaved families who are waiting for more than two and a half to get answers, so as long as it depends me, we will vote as soon as possible on revealing the report to the public." Later in the week, Comptroller Yoseph Shapira is scheduled to submit portions of the report dealing with Gaza terror tunnels and the way Israel is dealing with international law.
