Four members of the La Famiglia group of Beitar Jerusalem soccer club in their early to mid twenties have been convicted by the Tel Aviv District Court under plea bargains related to incidents since the group's founding in 2005. The incidents include an attack on a fan of Hapoel Tel Aviv, in which the victim was struck by a hammer, and an attack on fans of Maccabi Haifa in which property of the victims was stolen.
One of the defendants was sentenced to four months public service, probation and a 5,000-shekel fine. The other three did not agree to a specific sentence and prosecutors are seeking jail time.
