At his Senate confirmation hearing, Trump Attorney General appointment Jeff Sessions said that he would not prosecute Hillary Clinton in the role.
"I’ve given that thought and think the proper thing would be to recuse myself from any of those investigations surrounding secretary Clinton," he said.
He explained that his oversight of any such case would "place [his] objectivity in question."
