Figures in the Jewish community of Uman in the Ukraine fear a spotlight on its fragile relations with the local government, if not revenge for a young Jewish man's recent vandalism of an area cross. Police say the main suspect in the case has confessed.
The community has distanced itself from the act and have condemned it according to the Behadrei Hareidim website.
