Tuesday marks the scheduled start of the trial of 30 police officers accused of involvement in July's failed coup against Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Turkish authorites have prepared indictments against 1,200 of the 41 thousand arrested following the attempted overthrow. They are accused of involvement in the coup and exiled cleric Fethullah Gülen.
