Police raided, Sunday, the office of the legal advisor to the Defense Ministry and seized computer materials related to the cancellation of a bid for ships to protect offshore natural-gas installations.

The raid was conducted as part of an investigation into Israel's purchase of submarines from a company represented in Israel by an attorney for Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. An Iranian government company has a 4.5-percent stake in the shipyard. Channel 10 Television noted that Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman met with Netanyahu's attorney, David Shimron, nine days after assuming the post but said the meeting only had to do with coalition matters and not defense.
