Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met, Tuesday, with the president of Azerbaijan. After the meeting, Netanyahu declared that there are special relations between the two countries. "Israel is the Jewish state, it's a Jewish state. Azerbaijan is a Muslim state, predominantly Muslim population."
In a veiled comparison of the situation to that of the official attitude toward Israel of Iran and the Palestinian Authority, among others, he continued, "Here you have an example of Muslims and Jews working together to secure a better future for both of us. And it's an example that shines against the background of intolerance and lack of acceptance and mutual respect."
