A plea bargain has been reached with Border Guard Ben Deri in the killing of a Palestinian Authority youth during Nakba Day violence in 2014, according to Channel 2 Television. Deri will be convicted of negligent homicide. The agreement is not final and no recommended sentence was announced.
Deri believed he was shooting a rubber bullet at the victim. The revised indictment will reflect that live ammunition found its way into his rubber bullets.
