French Prime Minister Manuel Valls said, Thursday, that Europe is in danger of disintegrating, and that his country and Germany must lead to prevent that from happening. He was speaking against the backdrop of Britain's pending exit from the European Union and the rise of the extreme right.

Speaking at an economic conference Valls noted that France will continue to implement economic reforms, including lowering corporate taxes, but said Germany must join such efforts, including investment in France. He said there was a chance that rightwing politician Marine Le Pen could win France's presidential election next year.
