A Russian MiG-29 crashed in the Mediterranean Sea on Sunday, shortly after launching from the aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov near the coast of Syria on Sunday.
The plane was one of three that took off in the direction of Syria. It appeared to have mechanical difficulties and turned around in the direction of the ship. The pilot was rescued by helicopter.
