The official value of the shekel rose an average of .376 percent, Monday, against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.852 on Monday, up .208 percent, while the Euro declined .756 percent to 4.1478 shekels and the pound was set at 4.8239 shekels, down .698 percent.

Following major losses last week, the Egyptian pound gained 4.39 percent.
