Sheikh Raed Salah, leader of the northern branch of the Israel Islamic movement, announced, Sunday evening, that he is starting a hunger strike.
Arab media say Salah is protesting his imprisonment in the isolation wing of the Rimon Prison in southern Israel, where he is prevented from having contact with other prisoners. Prisons Service sources confirmed the announcement but told Walla! that Salah had not returned meals as of Sunday evening.
