Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit said, Thursday, that endorsement by the Ministerial Committee on Legislation of a watered-down bill to authorize formally unrecognized Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria will hurt the state's request for a seven-month delay in the Supreme Court deadline for uprooting the Samarian Jewish community of Amona.
As a result of Mandelblit's stance, it was decided to bring the matter to a Sunday meeting of coalition faction heads before the ministerial meeting. Chairman Naftali Bennett of the Jewish Home party said he will still bring the bill to the ministerial committee.
