The Haifa Court for Local Matters cancelled, Thursday, last week's monthlong closure order by the Haifa municipality against the Carmel Olefins plant in the Haifa Bay area.
The order was issued after chimneys at the refinery emitted heavy clouds of smoke. The judge in the case cited the city for not providing precise information to justify the order and said the city should have cooperated more with the Ministry for Environmental Protection.
