The Knesset State Control Committee is scheduled to hold its second followup meeting, Monday, regarding the State Comptroller's report on treatment of air pollution from stationary sources. The meeting will focus on gases emitted by oil refinery facilities in Haifa Bay.
The pollution was the subject of an Environmental Protection Ministry hearing with senior refinery officials, after the facilities allegedly exceeded the amount of toxic gasses they were allowed to emit into the atmosphere.
