On October 25, 1994, the government announced the peace agreement between Israel and Jordan.
The Knesset website recalls, "105 Knesset Members voted in favor of the deal, three lawmakers objected and six abstained. Then-Prime Minister and Defense Minister Yitzhak Rabin told the plenum that the treaty was ”another important step in consolidating the status of the Jewish people in the land of Israel, its historic homeland.”
