The Defense Ministry has chosen Sderot's Takmer firm, part of the Mer Group to provide hundreds of internal communications systems for the Israel Defense Forces ground forces at a cost of 40 million shekels.
The systems will be produced at a new, recently-dedicated factory in the Gaza-area city, staffed mostly by Sderot residents. The company is expected to bring additional activity to the factory soon and recruit workers from the area.
