The police announced, Thursday, that a number of assault rifles, explosives and other weapons have been discovered and seized over the last few days in Arab population centers in northern Israel. Two people were arrested on suspicion of illegal possession and trafficking in arms.
The weapons were intended for criminal purposes. Hundreds of arms have been seized since the start of 2016 in a crackdown against violent crime in the Arab sector.
