Minister Naftali Bennett said, Tuesday morning, that he will consider renewing ties with the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization if it voids its resolution denying non-Muslim ties to Jerusalem.
Reacting to Mexico's announcement that it would seek to void last week's vote and renew discussion, Bennett said, "We will follow developments today, and if the shameful decision of UNESCO is indeed effectively canceled, we will reconsider the relations, events and projects that were cancelled [by Bennett -ed.]." As long as the vote is not cancelled, Bennett's decision to cut Israel's ties with UNESCO stand.
