The Irgun Hamorim teachers union declared a labor dispute, Sunday, over deductions from salaries paid to secondary-school teachers before the start of the Jewish New Year. If the dispute is not resolved in two weeks, the teachers could strike.
The union demanded immediate restoration of the money that was cut and a determination that future deductions not exceed five percent. It also demanded that there be clarification and notification ahead of time.
