Amidst the flurry of kind words for the late Shimon Peres, official Palestinian news did not follow in the same vein:
"Peres is responsible for the deaths of Palestinians and for many crimes," the PA said, noting that Peres was among the architects of settlement in Judea and Samaria and claiming that Peres was responsible, as Prime Minister, for the killing of Palestinian refugees in southern Lebanon.
