Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely reacted to the death of the ninth President of Israel Shimon Peres.
"A farewell to Shimon Peres is a sad farewell to a leader who was a visionary and who always envisioned tomorrow. A leader belonging to the generation of the founders of the state who worked tirelessly for the people of Israel. Even those who disagreed with his political beliefs could not help but admire the determination and persistence in his desire for peace and the persistent renewal he demanded of himself.
“Biologically he reached a ripe old age but in his spirit he was a young man who desperately desired to change the world. The State of Israel will miss an important leader who changed the face of the country.”
