Science Minister Ofir Akunis eulogized former President Shimon Peres, who died at the age of 93.
"The new immigrant who began in Alumot and became prime minister of Israel and Israel's ninth president. Shimon Peres was one of the cornerstones of our country. A senior partner at each intersection of Israeli decision-making. Eventually, the decision maker himself.

My condolences to his family, his friends and dedicated staff who accompanied him fervently and faithfully for many years,” said Akunis.
