Chairman Yitzhak Herzog of the Zionist Union faction in the Knesset arrived at the Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer, near Tel Aviv, Tuesday evening, to say goodbye to Shim'on Peres, a former chairman of the Labor Party that Herzog now leads.

Herzog joined Peres's family in the neurosurgery ward, where the elder statesman lies unconscious on partial respiration. Peres took a turn for the worse, about two weeks after suffering a stroke at the age of 93.
