The Israel Defense Forces announced, Tuesday that a battalion commander and a platoon commander have been reprimanded, following an investigation into the July 17th explosion of a grenade on Mount Hermon that took the lives of 20-year-old Sergeant Shlomo Rindenow and 24-year-old Sergeant First Class Hussam Tapesh. A company commander who has finished his active duty will not be allowed to take a command position in the reserves for three years.

The investigation found that the accident occured after soldiers played with the grenade that had been left at their outpost by another unit.
