Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman decided, Sunday, to allot 17 million shekels in the ministry's basic budget for the Netiv course for conversion to Judaism in the Israel Defense Forces. The course is also open to National Service volunteers.
It was also decided to put soldiers through the course during early stages of their training so as not to disrupt military routine later in their service.
