President Reuven Rivlin said, Sunday, that the manslaughter trial of soldier Elor Azariya "could put us on the brink of a chasm and not just at the edge of a slippery slope." Azariya is standing trial for shooting a terrorists who had already been neutralized.

During a question-and-answer session on the Twitter social network, Rivlin had been asked about the prolongation of the trial. He added, "My grandchildren, who are soldiers in the army, ask me 'Grandfather, to whom should we listen, to our commanders or the voice of the crowd?' We have an excellent army. We have a very good commanders. We have an unmatched chief of staff, and we must listen to them and accept their decisions because those are the rules of the game."
