Opposition leader MK Yitzhak Herzog (Zionist Union) on Friday blasted Culture Minister Miri Regev following her protest at the Ophir Awards, when she left the auditorium while a poem by ultranationalist Arab poet Mahmoud Darwish was being performed.
"Regev is bringing back the black-and-white area, and not only to Israeli film. She would be better off to take one more step backwards - to silent films," Herzog wrote on Twitter.
