Lebanese security forces arrested, Thursday, Imad Yassin - known as an "emir" of the Islamic State terror movement at the Ain al-Hilweh refugee camp, near the southern city of Sidon, on suspicion he had links to IS and was planning bomb attacks, according to Agence France Presse.
The military charged, "He wanted to carry out terrorist attacks on several army positions, vital and tourist facilities, shopping centers, rallies and residential districts in more than one Lebanese region." It said Yassin had received "help from terrorist organizations abroad", without elaborating. LBCI private television said he was alleged to have recruited people to fight in Syria for IS. Yassin is said to be a founder of Jund al-Sham, a Salafi group based in Ain al-Hilweh.
