The Israel Defense Forces held exercises, Tuesday, for the evacuation of Galilee Lebanese-border communities Yaarah and Dishon, according to Haaretz. It's part of a broader exercise, begun Saturday night, in which the Israel Defense Forces are addressing a number of scenarios, including attempts by Hezbollah terrorists to enter border-area communities.
In past conflicts, individuals have evacuated or evacuations have been handled by local authorities. In the last two years, a program for the orderly evacuation of communities up to two kilometers from the border has been developed, with preparations of a plan for evacuating communities up to four kilometers away.
