Member of Knesset Amir Ohana (Likud) said, Monday, that he would not let go of the case of soldier Yitzhak Yehuda Yisraeli until a solution is found. Yisraeli was injured early in operation Protective Edge in Gaza. He would like to go back home to Ofra but cannot, because the existing structure is not wheelchair accessible. The Defense Ministry normally subsidizes the necessary construction to the home, but will not in this case because the home is in Ofra and, like most of Ofra's homes, does not have an official building permit.
Interviewed by Arutz Sheva', he asked, "This is how Israel one of its fighters? I'm sure everyone has good intentions from the Defense Minister down, but somehow it hasn't happened. We need to shake up the system and make it to happen." This morning, members of Israel's Givati Brigade published a video on social networks that expresses their outrage at the Defense Ministry's abandonment of this injured soldier.
