There are an estimated 480,000 dormant bank accounts in Israel, in which are held NIS 9 billion. A new system for locating these accounts has recently been announced.
The new site will allow bank customers to locate the banks and accounts in which there have been no transactions, and the bank has not been able to contact the owner.
