Police arrested a foreign national, Tuesday, on suspicion of being in the country illegally and being part of a network that took money from Ethiopians so they could get tourist visas for Israel through the use of forged documents and and apply for asylum once they arrived.
The arrest was the result of an undercover operation that was prompted by a complaint from the Foreign Ministry. Israel was assisted by law enforcement agencies in Ethiopia.
