Police in the Israeli-Arab city of Tayibe, east of Netanya, received a report of two children in a locked car, Monday afternoon, when the outside temperature was about 30Celsius/86Fahrenheit.
Police arrived at the scene, forced open the car, calmed the girls - one about five years old, the other about two - and gave them something to drink. They located the mother about 15 minutes later and detained her for questioning on suspicion of neglecting the helpless.
