Senior officials at the Foreign Ministry and representatives of the defense establishment briefed embassy representatives, Tuesday, on alleged diversion of money and resources to Hamas by the Gaza manager of the World Vision charity.
The briefing followed a closed-door court hearing in which the charges against Mohammed al-Halabi were read, according to Agence France Presse. His attorney said he intends to plead not guilty when the case reconvenes in early October.
