The condition of Herzl Shaul is worsening, according to Yedioth Ahronot. Herzl is the father of soldier Oron Shaul, believed killed in Gaza in 2014, whose body is being held by Hamas.
The senior Shaul has been hospitalized for the past ten months, since he was diagnosed with cancer of the small intestine. The cancer has spread, he has lost 25 kilograms and has spent the past week at Tel Hashomer Hospital near Tel Aviv. His wife Zehava said, "I'm committed to return Oron to me and that his father will recover by then."
