Members of a relatively new Labor party group called "The Revolution" have demanded that Chairman Yitzak Herzog convene a party conference at which it will be decided not to carry out any more negotiations with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu about the party joining the ruling coalition, according to a Sunday-evening report by Channel 2 Television.
The demand by the hundreds of Labor members arose following reports that the two leaders recently held coalition talks, reports denied by both of them. A party source felt Netanyahu had nothing to offer Herzog except a few ministerial posts, subject to the flexibility of the Kulanu party. There is also a feeling the reports may have led to the talks breaking off.
