The Czech Endowment Fund Memorial of Shoah and Oskar Schindler has bought the arms factory in the Czech village of Brinnlitz (Brněnec) where Schindler employed hundreds of Jews during World War II and saved them from death at the hands of the Nazis.
Since the end of the war, the plant has been unused and neglected. The fund plans to restore it to its original state and make it a memorial and museum commemorating the Holocaust and the work of Schindler, who won the title of "Righteous Among the Nations" for his work to save Jews.
